13 Mar 2008 - FUND RAISING FOR MEXBOROUGH GALA

My Mexborough.co.uk has become a member of the events comitty working with Mexborough Community Partnership to help raise funds and plan the annual Mexborough gala which will be held this August.

This year we need to raise a large sum of money to make this year’s gala the best it has ever been and to put Mexborough back on the map and show people currently not involved in their local community, that by taking a few hours out of your day, week or even year and working together as a community, we can make a real difference to the area we live in.

We are planning to raise funds through various avenues, for example by sponsorship and by cash donations made by local businesses.

We must stress however, thanks’ to the dedication, hard work and sheer determination that Mexborough Community Partnership events committee put into every event they organise and fund, that Mexborough may hold the following annual events.

·         Mexborough Annual Gala

·         November Bonfire and Fireworks Display

·         Mexborough Christmas Lights

·         Mexborough in Bloom
